SUVs are essential for bigger families. It helps make going around for travel, leisure and errands more comfortable and convenient.
In India, it is getting to become a car of choice for most families.
The website India Car News shared a slide show on affordable SUVs being sold in their country.
“Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol – Seeing the growing demand for petrol cars, Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the petrol avatar of the compact SUV in India. Likely to be launched in early 2017, the vehicle will be powered by a 1.0-litre Boosterjet unit that is good for 110bhp and 170Nm of torque. An AMT version will also be launched. The petrol version is expected to be priced around Rs 8 lakh.”

SUVs are very practical
Top Gear Philippines meantime came up with a list of smaller SUVs that are gaining the attention of their local market.
“The waiting lists for these models are off the charts, tempting unscrupulous dealerships (shame on them) to take advantage of the situation and require even cash customers to buy through financing (preferably the dealers’ in-house financing). But that’s another story. The big story here is this group of five desirable SUVs that inspire people to work hard and save up for a unit. The ultimate fruit of their labor, if you will. The website Gear Heads on the other hand went for a throwback when it published a feature on Discontinued SUVs it wants to see again on the road.
“Let us start with one of the more obvious choices. H1, H2, H3. It doesn’t really matter. All three generations of the Hummer were highly sturdy and capable, and more or less intertwined. One didn’t simply end for another to take swing. This is one of the reasons Hummer was so special. But everyone that knows about these cumbersome beasts, also knows that they used to offer much more than simply special. Plus, since global recession is more or less behind us, there are no more genuine reasons for them not to be produced.”
