The website Guide to Detailing also mentioned ways to bring back the smooth and shiny finish of a car. In their article, they discussed that paint that has oxidized due to ultraviolet rays usually fades and gives any vehicle a dull look.
“What to do once the paint surface begins to dull and fade? You’ll need to clean away the oxidation. You do this with detailing clay. Then, restore shine by polishing. Heavy oxidation, recognizable by a completely dull, chalky surface, is likely beyond complete restoration.”
